Serving the Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Another Lamboo Relocatable MRI + Support Unit has been successfully placed in England by order of Cobalt Health at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

The lay outs of the modular relocatable units are highly versatile to make the facility as efficient and complete as possible. All the finishing touches of the unit can be adjusted to the end users requirements: from inner wall pictures to the water drainage pipe.

The most important factors:

- Outside walls have been cladded with bricks.
- Very complete facility including reception area, bathroom, reporting room.
- MRI 3T Scanner inside.

Cobalt Health is a charitable organisation which was founded over 50 years ago to develop a new radiotherapy centre in Cheltenham.  The Charity now provides state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging from an imaging centre in Cheltenham and a fleet of mobile MRI units, including the only 3.0T mobile MRI service in Europe.

The vision of the Cobalt Health: ‘We believe everyone should have access to the best medical imaging for their diagnosis. We are a charity that invests in equipment, research and education to help this happen.’

The new facility has been developed in partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and the Institute of Translational Medicine. It will focus on supporting various research projects as well as providing a clinical 3.0T MRI service. We wish Cobalt Health and the end users all the best with the facility.
